The hobby industry trade magazine, Hobby Merchandiser, had sent a reporter to cover the grand opening.
His article was published in the August issue of the magazine. Here is a link to the article: https://storage.googleapis.com/wzuk...24_AeroTech.pdf

Nice article Bob and some great images of the event. That had to be very gratifying for Gary to have Lee there to help cut the ribbon on the new facility. That 1971 Centuri catalog mentioned in the article by Gary was my first ever model rocket catalog. Those Enerjets mentioned in those pages at the time seemed amazing, but then again to an eight year old kid, the entire catalog seemed amazing!
I am very glad that Aerotech over the years has been able to fully realize the innovation and promise of those early composite motors pioneered by RDC and Centuri all those many years ago! Earl

Quote:
Earl, The improvements that AeroTech has made in the mass production of composite rocket motors is just staggering compared to what was done when I worked for the company over thirty years ago. I can't go into any details but it is both amazing and staggering what that company has been able to do. There is still a fair bit of hand/manual labor in producing the motors but nothing like in the past. Yet, even with all these improvements in production, demand still outpaces availability at times. It's a good problem to have.
