Oh I like that Big Bertha take on the decals! I will have to keep that in mind next time I build one. Between my wife and I we have three flyers right now, so it won't be next week....but still that's really cool.

Might be fun to just throw those decals on a Baby Bertha from Hobby Lobby.

I want to post a set of decals for the Baby Bertha with the mini brute theme but would like to know how long should the top decal should be? The ones I posted are 5.8 inches long. Anyone care to guestimate?

From Brohm's list:

TK-3/0803
Mini-Bertha
030320
BT-20B
8.65"

1261
Baby Bertha (Appendix 1)
030400
BT-60
7.50"

A good starting place might be to just shorten the length of the roll pattern proportionally to the 7.5/8.65 ratio of body tube lengths compared to the Mini-Bertha.

Here's the redraw of the original Mini-Bertha at JimZ:

https://www.spacemodeling.org/jimz/estes/est0803e.png

ETA: I went ahead and did the scaling in AutoCAD. I'd suggest the roll pattern be 2.42 inches long from the top of the black field to the bottom of the bars.

Edited again to add: I will also be completely happy just manually trimming the bars shorter to whatever length I decide looks right after playing with paper printouts. It's an easy mod to the decal.

Default Mini-Brute Theme BT-60 Big and Baby Bertha Decals

Folks, this is what I did based on the recommendations. Please try and let me know if I need to make adjustments. Suggestions are welcome. I can break the file and make them individually if wanted. Let me know. Enjoy!!!

Awesome!

Makes me want to swing by Hobby Lobby and pick up a Baby kit on the way home tonight.

Man I wish I had the means to print color decals. That's great!

And unlike SolarYellow, I have an oversupply of Baby Berthas in my house.

<thread drift>I REALLY don't need to be tempted to buy a color laser printer. I'm pretty much done with inkjets and our monochrome Brother laser printers have always been very reliable.</thread drift>

Minor additional thread drift??? the HP color laser printers are very good and very affordable. I have not tried printing any decals with them, though I have wanted to experiment in that direction for some time. Minor thread drift: off.

Today, while digging into my kit bins I found my Big Bertha dressed with the "Mini-Brute Bertha" decals. Gave it a quick polish as it had some "storage marks" for being wrapped in paper inside the bins. Still looks good! this is the BMS issue of the Big Bertha they did a few years ago. Enjoy!!!

That looks fantastic. Now to decide whether to go full-length or Baby?
