120 days to get replacement product ?
That's outrageous. Should be immediate interruption to their pending orders. Send a Pic, they should send product at a 2 for 1 rate to makeup for the hassle.

When in doubt, WHACK the GAS and DITCH the brake !!! Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't ! Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY. ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, AGITATION, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, AGGRAVATION, INSTIGATION, NUISANCE-ACTION, and HAVOC ! |

Has anyone heard or does anyone know the exact issue with the motors? Were they simply ?made wrong? or such, or do they go boom, no ejection, etc? Just curious about the real root issue with the motors.

There's a thread on TRF called "D12-3 CATOs Date code E22 0123." And another discussing the recall.

My understanding was that it was due to a bad batch of the carboard casings that was not up to specs. Only discovered after the failures occured.

Yup, ruined a real nicely finished Estes Phoenix in '98 or '99 with a D12 Cato.
