His ?this will be my last NARAM? comment was at the Manufacturer?s forum on Monday night. And his tone did sound a little chilling actually.

I hope he comes to the banquet tomorrow night?.

He looked really happy.
Yes, I feel extremely blessed and thankful to have spent a few moments with Vern Estes while at NARAM-65 on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Vern was very kind and gracious to pose with me for a photo together, and he kindly allowed me to hold his Gleda May rocket that he flew while he was gladly holding my Alpha III rocket that I was able to fly on the Estes Industries company flying field this past Sunday, August 4, 2024, for the commemorative events in honor of Gleda Estes. I also was able to fly my Alpha III at NARAM-65 this Thursday, right before taking this photo with Vern. Vern also graciously autographed my Alpha III that flew in his and Gleda's honor. I am also very thankful to have received one of the commemorative Gleda May model rocket kits, which Vern also graciously autographed, at the Celebration of Life service for Gleda. I continue to lift Vern and his family up in prayer.

It is a comfort to know that Vern and I share some things in common: our faith in Jesus Christ, our love for the precious wife each of us has been given by our Lord, we are both blessed much more than we deserve, our precious wives have gone before us to be with the Lord in Heaven, we both miss our wives tremendously but we are thankful for the time we were given with them, we are both content to know that we will certainly be reunited with our wives and other loved ones in Heaven, as our eternal home, at the time of our Lord's choosing. We turn our eyes upon Jesus, we look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. The love and the grace of God continue to sustain us because His Holy Spirit and His Son lives in us. We don't know exactly what the future holds, but we do know who holds the future! Everything that is over our head is under His feet! "Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning." - Psalm 30:5b

May the Lord bless you all.

Kind regards,

Jeff,

What a blessing to be able to have another opportunity to see Vern! I sure wish I could have stayed for the week. And looks like lots of cool and exciting stuff happened on the range Friday with Super Scale.

Many here do not use Facebook, and I question keeping it at times. I do not post much on my page, but I subscribe to dozens of rocketry groups, and that alone makes it worthwhile. The NAR group on Facebook has had a lot of great information and pictures every day of NARAM-65.
