What happened to the service modules?
This morning I thought of something that?s beyond my very limited level of space flight knowledge: where are the Apollo service modules now? Did they reenter the earth?s atmosphere and burn up? Are they at high orbit? Are they just floating around whereabouts unknown and untracked?

And a movie clip from the KC-135 tracking aircraft which captured film footage of the command and service modules as they began their re-entries (very close together) and at about 1:09 into the clip, the service module just disintegrates.
