Great launch report as always, Bill !
I have always said the C6-3 is worthless compared to the C5-3. Wish they would discontinue that one and the B6-2 and give us the B8-0 and B8-5.

Bill-
As has been noted by GH, another great flight report. I enjoyed reading of all the flights (yeah, that two-stage Marauder at B6-4 Field, just based on your past photos of that site, would have overflown it for sure!), but your closing comments hit my personal history button the most. While my very first flight outing in June, 1976 - exactly four weeks to the day before our countrys Bicentennial - was by car, practically all the others for the next five years would be by way of my trusty 10 speed, with all rockets, pad, motors, etc., all nestled in a cardboard box, attached to and sat on top of the handlebars. About a two mile trip to the launch site, at that. I can still hear those rockets and equipment inside that box bouncing, knocking, banging together as I hit this spot and that spot on the pavement. Spots that felt like nothing in a car were another matter on a bike! Still, my rockets, equipment, and I tended to get to and fro without too very much damage. Many flights logged that way back in the day and I did not think it an undue burden in any way to get to and from my launch site that way. I just wanted to fly my rockets. Fun days. Fun days. Earl

Enjoyable reading, as always, Bill.
GH, the only reason I can see to use a C6-3 right now is 8.82 N-S vs. 7.72 N-s of the re-released C5-3s. So there might be some narrow sort of rocket that would perform better on the C6 vs. the C5. The C5-3's delay tends to run a little over (very un-Estes-like) which has its plusses and minuses. But I don't want to drive Bill's thread too adrift here.....

The killer was that in order to get to NKU, we had to go right past modern day B6-4 Field. It didn't occur to us to fly there, likely because of the trees that surrounded it and a propensity for picking the biggest motors possible whenever we flew. NKU was more expansive, but also more concrete.

It's too bad they don't still offer the 1/2A6-0 and 1/2A6-4 motors as they would be perfect for small-field 2-stage or 3-stage flight.
I know I still have several packs of 1/2A6-4s but nor sure about 1/2A6-0s. I know I have many 1/2A3-0T paks. I plan to fly my mini-brute Astron Midget on a 1/2A3-OT to 1/4A3-3T combo to ensure getting both pieces back.
