Thanks, Bill !

It has been a scary experience, especially seeing as I have always been relatively healthy.

Since I?ll be unable to travel for several weeks, I?m getting together a list of builds to finish and to start as the meds and physical therapy allows. Fortunately I?m still on the payroll as I?ll be taking service and engineering phone calls and participating in net meetings, none of which require that I wear pants.

The list.

Complete my Squirrel Works Dogfight Pacific. It consists of a butt-ugly booster with an awesome little Vought F4U Corsair glider and a little Japanese Meatball glider.
Complete my Estes Recruiter kit bashed from an Estes Beta Launch Vehicle kit.
Complete my Semroc Omega with OG payload section.
Build an Estes #2001 SV with a 4 x 18mm engine conversion.
Build a Semroc Mars Lander with SERVICEABLE landing leg hardware. I did a thread on that a few years ago.
Build a Boyce Aerospace Hobbies 1:15 scale Pershing II.

Jeffy-

Really like the last two items on your list of "Serviceable Leg" Mars Lander and the Pershing II build with one caveat; KEEP them in your own personal fleet, (Don't peddle them off).

You should make the 2001 Saturn V a 3x24mm cluster instead of 4x18mm cluster.
That way you could get a decent flight on anything from 3xD12-3 to 3xE12-4

Good Luck on your recovery !

Another thought on the Saturn V build. Think about removable motor mounts. The Centuri Saturn V, with that ST-16 core tube (pretty much the equivalent of the Estes BT-60 tube) allows for a 3x18mm, a single 24mm, or a single 29mm, which gives all kinds of options for flights up through G, not that I would ever really want to fly a 1/100 Saturn on a G. No sense in putting it up a couple thousand feet, really. I've done altitude to multiple miles, but the scale Saturns are best at lower altitudes and somewhat slower liftoff speeds.

But bottom line, a removable mount setup allows a LOT of flexibility for the flight profile you might like to have, based on motor choices and field size.

I like the removable mount idea even better.

If it was mine in that instance, I'd fly it on single 29mm almost exclusively.

May all facing surgery recover quickly!

My knees click when I do squats. I suspect they'll be the first to go Bionic.

Pretty sure the costs for "Bionic" replacements has been reduced significantly from $6 Million.
I don't think that catalogued prototype 20X Zoom-Powr Eye ever came to fruition. Pure Vaporware like the Estes Cylon Raider, Estes Cygnus Probe Ship, Enerjet 18mm D21, or Q-Modeling ever coming back.

You have to be careful with those bionics.
My wife got one hip done. when it kicks in, she can only run in circles!

That's because the ability to use those bionic knees to run 60 MPH is a (rather expensive) extra cost option.
