Default "Old Ugly's" metamorphosis..Done!

Hi all,
Been experimenting with different glues, paints, etc.

It was a Semroc Centurion-F. I chopped the decals; now it's the Orion-F, named
after my favorite constellation.

Vallejo paint for plastics are easy to use, it was used on the black and olive fin.
The white fin is Tamiya Pure White spray. Update; the olive is Tamiya TS-28 Olive Drab 2 spray; the Vallejo
hated the floor polish clear coat. The blue fin is Vallejo Azure.

Orion's belt and sword are Microscale trim film. I used a leather punch; the punch's
"anvil" has no give, so the decal sheet was backed with a 3x5 index card; otherwise the
decal tears.

The WW II bomber nose art is a homage to Vern's ancient Big Bertha with the hot rod and girly decals

One thing learned was that any Microscale decal stripe that one cuts that is over a 1/2" wide or so
will never completely snuggle down no matter how many coats of setting solution is applied.
It's best to mask and paint. Otherwise the wrinkles just add flavor.

Bob
p.s. she has flown in the Old Ugly past with the Estes 29mm E, cool engine.
