B14! B14!
Gary Rosenfield announced during the vNARCON Manufacturers Forum that Quest will be releasing a 18mm B14 motor!
It will feature a phenolic nozzle and have a total impulse of 4.8 N-sec.

Gary set that announcement up perfectly. I practically shouted "B14" when he asked what the most requested 18mm motor was.
Of course the discussion has already started over on that other forum, and will soon start here, I'm sure about the need for a B14 booster. The B14T won't be able to fill that niche but still, it will be fun, and since it opens up the Q-Jet line to Blue Thunder propellant, who knows where that could go. Personally, I'd be happy to see the easy handling characteristics of Blue Thunder displace the raucous but fussy White Lighting motors in all the 18mm Q-Jets. But that's getting a little ahead of things...

While neat, it will not fill the role of the most needed B14, the B14-0 BOOSTER.
I also would like to see BT propellant for all the Q-jet motors.

A B14 is welcome, even if it kinda sorta not a B14. The news that Blue Thunder propellant has been incorporated into the Q-Jet line is perhaps the biggest news. Very good news indeed.

Any chance this technology may find its way into a 13mm casing?
It would be great for PMC... Bill

That would be a suggestion to drop in the big Aerotech thread on that other forum where Gary Rosenfield will see it.
He had so much "fun" with the 18mm Q-Jets though that he might not be all excited about going even smaller.
