24mm Mars Lander
One of the build projects I hope to do while I mend is a Semroc Mars Lander with serviceable landing gear AND a 24mm engine mount.
I?ve done the serviceable landing gear before and I have the process down pat, but Ive never done a 24mm mount. Have any of you done a 24mm mount on a Mars Lander? Has someone already done a thread? Any engine and balancing weight recommendations? Thanks!

I'd be glad to help you modify the simulation to make your 24mm work.
Here's a Mars Lander that's a scratch build that I designed in June 2023. The body diameter is a little over 3", and it's one piece turned from wood. Power is via a 29mm motor in a rear eject spool. At ejection the spool and the motor are recovered via a parachute. A separate drogue chute is deployed for the lander, the drogue orients the lander so it lands on it's feet. It uses 3 legs instead of the original 4 that the OOP kits used. The rocket is actually more stable with 3 legs.

The Tango Papa Mars Lander used a 24mm mount and serviceable landing gear. If you can locate a set of plans for that it might help your cause.
